URGENT RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Please see below for upcoming meetings regarding Draft 03 of the Code RefreshThe process for Draft 03 of the Code Refresh has quickly changed from the previous drafts. Starting June 15, the Planning Department will be conducting “working sessions” with City Council (June 15), the Planning Commission (June 16), and the Zoning Advisory Council (June 17). These working sessions are intended to review particular policy items that have been highly debated, such as: allowable housing units per lot, zoning designation for places of worship, and the number of unrelated people that can reside in the same residence.

Participation is critical as Draft 03 is being introduced. Please plan to participate in these meetings!

City Council

Monday, June 15 at 4:00 pm

The Mayor and the Planning Department will be conducting a working session with City Council during Monday’s meeting. The meeting is open to the public, but there will not be an opportunity for public comment. Please plan to attend this meeting. It will be held on the Second Floor of City Hall.

Virtual Meeting with Councilmember Kenya Gibson

Tuesday, June 16 at 6:30 pm

Councilmember Gibson introduced a proposed ordinance earlier this month that would establish resident planning review committees to provide additional resident engagement, feedback, and oversight to the Code Refresh process. This meeting is intended to be an informational session with Councilmember Gibson to learn more information and ask questions.
